Uyuni’s Old Train Tracks
Our experience touring Salar de Uyuni completely exceeded our expectations. We knew it was going to be amazing given all we’d heard from other travelers, but had no idea just how awe-inspiring the world’s largest salt flats would be.
Salar de Uyuni’s landscapes change quicker than a shake of salt; one hour you’re surrounded by flamingos on a high altitude lagoon, and the next you’re standing on an island covered in cactus’.
Finding the words to accurately describe Salar de Uyuni and the sheer enormity of this endless white desert is no easy task. Therefore, we have put together a photo essay with the hope of providing a glimpse into a part of the world which is not only aesthetically appealing but utterly unique.
Below you’ll find some of our favorite photographs taken during our 3 day tour through Bolivia’s stunning salt flats.
These are just a few of the scenes you can experience on a trip to Salar de Uyuni. Enjoy!
